![]() For the fourth year running, President of Triathlon Malta, Cyprian Dalli, attended the European Triathlon Presidents' Congess, which this year was held at the University of Loughborough, England. The Congress ia an annual gathering for the Presidents coming from all over the Triathlon Federations in Europe to analyse last year's achievements and programme the projects for the upcoming season. This year, the Congress focused on the individualising of the talent in younger athletes and the coaching frameworks of National Federations. During the stay in Loughborough also held meeting with the Development Board of the European Triathlon Union (ETU), especially in view of the Malta Youth Triathlon Academy (MYTA) which has been founded and constantly supported by the ETU. Good progress and constant improvements in the MYTA were lauded by the Board and plans for next season where set out. Another important meeting attended during the weekend was with the Executive Boaard of the Mediterranean Triathlon Federation (MedTF), of which Dalli holds an Executive post since the Federation's foundation in 2013. Plans for a stronger racing calendar oin the Mediterranean basis were discussed as well as means to cooperate between all the different sectors of the region. 'These meetings serve a twofold dimension for Triathlon Malta' said Dalli. 'It is imperative to make our counterparts in Europe aware that Triathlon in Malta is getting better, stronger and thrives to continue the momentum of the last years. On the other hand, it is very important for us to duscuss, understand and learn new ways of doing things from those with better and longer experience and implement these into the operation of the Malta Triathlon Federation'. Meanwhile, the Malta Triathlon Federation is working on what promises to be the most exciting racing calendar of multisport in Malta ever, both in number of events as in quality of the the racing-experience.
